The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

July 30

Faris Salem, 20, of Braintree, was arraigned on July 29 charges in Chilmark of drunken driving, marked lanes violation and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 17.

August 2

Jozimar Gomes, 41, of Vineyard Haven was arraigned on August 2 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, third offense, marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, operating motor vehicle with license suspended and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 9. Further condition to remain alcohol free with screens.

Wayne V. Iacono 2nd, 29, of Chilmark was arraigned on July 26 charges in Chilmark of rape of child with force, aggravated statutory rape of child and indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or over. Bail set at $5,000. Probable cause hearing scheduled for Oct. 1. Further condition to stay away from and have no contact with alleged victim(s).

Lucy Moreau, 28, of East Falmouth was arraigned on August 1 charges in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 16.

Hayden F. Eiswirth, 51, of Oak Bluffs was arraigned on August 1 charges in Vineyard Haven of speeding in violation of special regulation, drunken driving and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 13.

Wesley G. Ferreira, 29, of Oak Bluffs was arraigned on July 31 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation.

August 5

Walesca M. Cirqueira, 31, of Oak Bluffs was arraigned on August 2 charges in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery on family/household member. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Aug. 23.

August 6

Josip Sesar, 27, of Vineyard Haven was arraigned on August 6 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation. Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 23.

Andrea Escoto-Rivera, 32, of Fort Lee, N.J. was arraigned on August 5 charges in Edgartown of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of property damage, speeding, failure to stop for police, marked lanes violation, two counts of defacing property and three counts of vandalizing gravestones. Bail set at $500. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 2.
