The Town of Chilmark will hold a third community meeting to discuss housing development strategies for the Peaked Hill Pastures property on Monday, Sept. 20 at 6 p.m. This site is owned by the town and includes 16.67 acres off Pasture Road.

The first community meeting focused on a review of the work to date by the planning board’s project subcommittee, an update of housing needs, and a description of the basic characteristics of the site. A second community meeting focused on considerations related to homeownership versus rentals, as well as options for financing and permitting.

At the third meeting, Karen Sunnarborg, a consultant on the project, will present more specific project parameters for participants to review and provide comments.

This meet will be held virtually: zoom.us/j/97551539655 . It will also be recorded and available at the town’s website: chilmarkma.gov/planning-board/pages/peaked-hill-pastures.
