As expected, Quinn, the darling kitten, was snapped up last weekend. These folks got a real lover boy, congratulations.

This week our featured pet is Miles. You may remember him from earlier columns, he was here with his jazzy brother Mingus. Well, Mingus has moved on to his new forever home, but Miles is still waiting for his family to find him. Miles is a big tuxedo boy with a white blaze. His age is seven and he’s very playful and super affectionate; this boy adores people.

We have four other cats looking for their new families. Roo (aka Rooster) is a 14-year-old dilute calico with blue eyes, Gordon is a nine years old, long haired, black cat who couldn’t be friendlier and is quite the character. Then there are the two old timers. Buster is 17, but in perfect health, and he’s a tabby. Faith is a calico in her 20s.

If anyone is interested in adopting Guinea pigs we have four super friendly girls: Bonnie, Miss T, Humpty and Dumpty to choose from. All have been hand-raised and are quite friendly.

The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. Also, if anyone is in need of cat food, dog food, or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours.
