The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

May 18

Meirilucia Nunes, 41, of Oak Bluffs was arraigned on May 17 charges in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a child under age 14, and assault and battery on a child that caused injury. Bail set at $1,000 cash and $10,000 surety. Released on June 7, with conditions that defendant enter Vineyard sober house and follow program and that defendant sign releases for probation department. Pretrial hearing scheduled for July 28.

May 20

Mark E. Thomas, 22, of White Plains, N.Y. was arraigned on a May 19 charge in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Defendant released on payment of $250 counsel fee and $250 bail, and with further condition of no abuse of alleged victim. Pretrial hearing set for July 15. May 23

Nilton Texeira, 62, of Kent, Wash. was arraigned on May 22 charges in Edgartown of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation. Pretrial hearing scheduled for June 30.

May 31

Byron E. Thomas, 36, of Bronx, N.Y. was arraigned on May 27 charges in Edgartown of wanton destruction of property over $1,200 and disorderly conduct. Pretrial hearing scheduled for July 15.

Juan C. Arce, 30, of Longboat Key, Fla., was arraigned on May 31 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunk driving and miscellaneous equipment violations. Pre-trial hearing set for July 1.

Matthew L. Nasif, 35, of Roslindale, was arraigned on May 28 charges in Edgartown of breaking and entering with the intent to commit a misdemeanor, larceny from a building and disorderly conduct. Defandant remained to diversionary program until Nov. 28.

June 2

Oliver W. Lively, 18, of Edgartown, was arraigned on Oct. 23, 2021 charges in Edgartown of using a motor vehicle without authority, leaving the scene of property damage, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, speeding beyond the rate of what is reasonable and proper and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing set for June 27.

Oliver W. Lively, 18, of Edgartown was arraigned on two May 27 charges in Edgartown of assault and battery on a family or household member. Defendant released on payment of $500 bail and with further condition to abide by all active restraining order conditions. Pretrial hearing scheduled for June 27.

June 6

Diego A. DeSouza, 34, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on June 4 charges in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery on a family or household member and resisting arrest. Defendant released on payment of $150 bail and with further condition to abide by all active restraining orders. Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 19.

Gabriel A. Nasciamento, 22, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on June 4 charges in Oak Bluffs of violating an abuse prevention order, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Defendant released with further conditions to stay away from alleged victim and stay away from The Cardboard Box. Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 1.

Nicholas Banda, 38, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on June 5 charges in Oak Bluffs of disorderly conduct and trespassing. Charge of disorderly conduct to be dismissed and court cost waived at time of disposition. Charge of trespassing dismissed upon request of the Commonwealth. Case closed.

James F. Mancini, 23, of Framingham, was arraigned on June 5 charges in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery and disorderly conduct. Defendant released on payment of $200 bail. Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 5.

Charles J. Caldwell, 52, who the court listed as homeless, was arraigned on June 3 charges in Vineyard Haven of indecent exposure and a subsequent offense of disorderly conduct. Defendant released on payment of $250 bail. Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 5.

Amy J. Davenport, 45, of Edgartown, was arraigned on June 3 charges in Edgartown of breaking and entering with the intent to commit a misdemeanor and disorderly conduct. Defendant released upon payment of $150 bail. Pretrial hearing scheduled for August 25.

Evandro Deoliveira, 42, of Edgartown, was to stand a jury trial on April 23, 2020 charge in Vineyard Haven on charges of violating an abuse prevention order. Defendant failed to appear in court. Warrant for arrest issued on June 7.

June 8

Brian P. Langhammer, 55, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on a June 6 charge of threatening to commit a crime, Counsel fee set at $150. Bail set at $10,000 cash and $100,000 surety. Defendant released on further conditions of no social media, complying with home confinement monitored by GPS, and agreeing to have a medical exam and engage in any recommended treatment. Pretrial hearing scheduled for July 8.

June 9

Cressan G. Gordon, 32, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on June 9 charges in West Tisbury of drunken driving, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration, and a marked lanes violation. Defendant released on payment of $200 bail. Pretrial hearing set for August 5.
