The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

August 4

Yasemin Yarkin, 47, who the court lists as homeless, was arraigned on an August 2 charge in Oak Bluffs of criminal harassment. Defendant released on personal recognition and with further condition to stay away from and have no contact with alleged victim. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Oct. 14.

August 8

Leandro Gomes, 32, of Edgartown, was arraigned on August 6 charges in Edgartown of assault and battery, intimidating a witness/juror/ police or court official, and threatening to commit a crime. Defendant released on payment of $3,000 bail, $500 of which may be returned. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 29.

Jeremie W. Robinson, 41, of Edgartown, was arraigned on August 7 charges in Edgartown of assault and battery on a family or household member, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and intimidating a witness/juror/police or court official. Defendant released on personal recognition. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 12.

Shane K. True, 40, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on an August 7 charge of assault and battery on a family or household member. Defendant released on personal recognition. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 6.

Mauricio Moraes, 64, of Brooksville, Fla., was arraigned on an August 8 charge in Edgartown of violating an abuse prevention order. Defendant released on personal recognition. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Oct. 15.

August 11

Maria C. Zamudio, 48, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on an August 9 charge in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery on a family or household member. Defendant entered plea of not guilty. Defendant released on payment of $250 bail. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Oct. 28.

Karen G. Thomas, 72, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on August 9 charges in Oak Bluffs of a second offense of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation and leaving the scene of property damage. Defendant released upon payment of $150 counsel fee and $200 bail. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 8.

August 15

Andrae D. Henry, 28, of Edgartown was arraigned on a May 6 charge in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Defendant entered plea of not guilty. Defendant released on personal recognition and with further condition of abiding with GPS-monitored curfew from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 8.
