The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.
Dec. 5
Jordan Coyle, 19, of Edgartown, was arraigned on Dec. 4 charges in Oak Bluffs of vandalizing property, breaking and entering during daytime for the purpose of a felony and placing a person in fear, trespassing, and carrying a dangerous weapon. Defendant released on personal recognizance and with further condition to stay away from and have no contact with alleged victim. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Dec. 16.
Benjamin J. Clay, 25, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on a Nov. 11 charge in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery on a family or household member. Defendant released on personal recognizance and payment of $150 counsel fee. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 27, 2023.
Peter J. Pate, 46, of West Tisbury, was arraigned on a Dec. 2 charge in West Tisbury of assault and battery on a family or household member. Defendant entered plea of not guilty and was released on personal recognizance, payment of $1,500 cash bail/surety and with further condition of no abuse of alleged victim. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Feb. 13, 2023.
Shane A. Harthcock, 41, who the court lists as homeless, was arraigned on Dec. 3 charges in Oak Bluffs of possession of a class B drug (Subutex), assault and battery and disorderly conduct. Defendant released on personal recognizance and with notification of the right to be subject to drug testing. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Dec. 16.
Dec. 7
Meirilucia Nunes, 41, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on a Dec. 6 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery. Defendant released on personal recognizance. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Dec. 15.
Dec. 12
William S. Sanfilippo, 58, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on Dec. 7 charges in Oak Bluffs of violating an abuse prevention order, breaking and entering for the purpose of misdemeanor and vandalizing property. Bail set at $500. Defendant being held at Dukes County correctional facility. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 13, 2023.
Devin A. Mcgahee, 23, of Edgartown, was arraigned on a Dec. 8 charge in Edgartown of assault and battery. Defendant released on personal recognizance. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 5, 2023.
