The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

Nov. 4, 2022

Ryan M. Cushing, 30, of Edgartown, was arraigned on an Oct. 27, 2022 charge in Edgartown of larceny under the value of $1,200 by false pretense. Defendant released on payment of $150 counsel fee. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Dec. 30. Default warrant issued Dec. 30 because defendant failed to appear after recognizing.

Dec. 29, 2022

Michael J. Pacheco Jr., 35, of New Bedford, was arraigned on Dec. 28, 2022 charges in Oak Bluffs of possession of a Class A drug (fentanyl) with intent to distribute and trafficking in 36 grams or more but less than 100 grams of cocaine. Defendant being held at Dukes County correctional facility in lieu of bail set at $10,000. Habeas corpus filed for prosecution. Probable cause hearing scheduled for Jan. 6.

Dec. 27, 2022

Robert J. Francis Jr., 64, of West Tisbury, was arraigned on a Dec. 26, 2022 charge in Vineyard Haven of a subsequent offense of disorderly conduct. Defendant released on personal recognizance and payment of $150 counsel fee. Pretrial hearing scheduled for March 6.

Andiara G. Bastos, 39, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on a Dec. 24, 2022 charge in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery on a family or household member. Defendant released on payment of $150 counsel fee. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Feb. 9.

Timothy J. Dyke, 61, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on Dec. 26, 2022 charges in Oak Bluffs of violating an abuse prevention order, criminal harassment and making annoying telephone calls or electronic communications. Defendant entered pleas of not guilty and released on personal recognizance with further conditions to stay away from and have no contact with alleged victim until at least Jan. 13. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 13.

Philipe D. Damaceno, 31, of Edgartown, was arraigned on Dec. 24, 2022 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and use of a motor vehicle without authority. Defendant released on payment of $150 counsel fee. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Feb. 9.

Dec. 30, 2022

Kenneth B. Hurd, 36, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on a Dec. 30, 2022 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery. Defendant released on personal recognizance. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Feb. 27.

Christy Bishop, 49, of Auburn, was arraigned on a June 10, 2022 charge in Vineyard Haven of making a false crime report. Defendant entered plea of not guilty and released on personal recognizance. Pretrial hearing scheduled for March 10.
