The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

Dec. 29, 2022

Jhonata Dasilva, 30, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on Dec. 24, 2022 charges in Edgartown of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Defendant released on personal recognizance. Pretrial hearing scheduled for March 9.

Jan. 9

Walesca M. Cirqueira, 32, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on Jan. 7 charges in Oak Bluffs of disturbing the peace and trespassing. Defendant released on personal recognizance. Pretrial hearing held on Jan. 12. Charge of disturbing the peace dismissed upon payment of $100 court cost. Charge of trespassing dismissed at the Request of the Commonwealth. Case closed.

Jan. 12

Adacir R. Fogaca, 45, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on Jan. 10 charges in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery on a family or household member, assault and battery and malicious destruction of property valued at less than $1,200. Defendant released on personal recognizance and payment of $1,500 bail, which may be returned. Pretrial hearing scheduled for March 9.
