The adoption new of the week is that the torbie kittens, Pippin and Meryl, have and adoption pending where they will be able to spend their lives together. Fingers crossed for this wonderful holiday present for all.

Our pet of the week is Stitch, a three-year-old, male tabby. He’s very sweet, loves to snuggle and cuddle, and is a total lap cat. He can be chatty at times, but everyone falls in love with his wonderful personality. Stitch is a healthy boy and up-to-date on vaccines, however he is FIV positive so will need to be an only, indoor cat. We really want to find this boy a home ASAP, so c’mon Christmas angels work your magic.

Also available is the very affectionate LoLo. LoLo is a 16 years old, long-haired, black and white cat. She is a real love muffin, very friendly with a sweet disposition, a cat that seeks out attention. However, given her age she is not very tolerant of other cats so would do best as an only, but she still would be a wonderful addition to any home. Someone please give this girl a home for the holidays, she is craving more attention than can be provided here at the shelter. And due to her age, her adoption fee will be waived.

Nellie is a beautiful 13-year-old, medium hair, torbie cat. Nellie came to us shy and fearful, but she is now spending much more time out of hiding and is allowing some people to pet her. She has a very sweet nature and we expect that she will blossom once she finds her person and goes to a home where she feels comfortable. She’s dreaming of a nice warm home of her own for the holidays.

And for the Guinea pig lovers we have a mother/daughter pair in need of a home(s). Both are Abyssinian with calico coloring. Moana is the mother, is three years old and has a black face. Her daughter, Chip is two years old and has a light colored face. Both are hand-raised and very friendly, ready to become members of your family.

Please join us for the Edgartown Christmas Parade this Saturday, Dec. 14. If you would like to march with us staging will be at the library at 10:30 am. Hope to see you there.
