April showers bring May flowers. That is how April began. Rain in the morning and beautiful sun and blue skies in the afternoon. The flowers are popping and there is a lot of new green leaves coming out of the ground.

Happy birthday to all who celebrated their day this past week. Big balloons go out to Alicia Pereira, who celebrated March 26; Clarice Lima, Amar Rodrigues, Heitor Loiola on March 29; Matheo Gomes, March 31; Debora Flores, April 3; and to Chloe Sobel and Jhennifer Oliveira who celebrate their day on April 4.

Like I said earlier, town is starting to burst in green. The cherry trees are just about to come into full bloom, the lilacs are starting to bud out and the forsythia is starting to show some yellow. The pansies and violas are in full bloom. It wont be long and we will have to start mowing the lawn.

Don’t forget to vote on April 10. Mike Donaroma is running for reelection but is being challenged by Alex Morrison and Glen Searle. It is an important position so please vote.

The new library newsletter is out and there are some great activities this month to check out. The programs are generously funded by the Friends of the Edgartown Free Public Library. Plus there are many afterschool programs.

Have a great week and keep the home candles burning.
