We have a number of adoptions to report this week. We had a litter of feral kittens and five of them left for their forever homes on Wednesday. Here’s to years of love, fun and companionship. And an older, female tuxedo named Hazel came in and left within a half hour. And she’s just what her new owner was looking for! Congratulations all around.

Is anyone interested in an older black lab? Rocco is a nine-year-old black Labrador retriever/chow chow mix. He is the spitting image of a black lab with that wonderful lab personality. He’s housebroken, gets along with kids and cats, he’s sweet, calm, quiet, good natured and loyal — a real best friend. He’s also crate trained.

We also have an eight-week-old, male, white and gray kitten looking for his forever home. His name is Beefy and he’s a little shy, but he’s definitely coming out of his shell.

Guinea pigs Molly and Mia are looking for their forever home. Molly is four years old with brown and white markings. Mia is three years old. She is a calico with a black face.

At the nail clinic last Saturday, the nails of 18 dogs and four cats were trimmed. Stay tuned for the date of the next nail clinic.

Don’t forget, the annual Garden Party will take place on Monday, June 30 and the invitations have gone out. For more information, please contact the shelter.
