LadyFest MV, a music festival that raises money for the Island’s domestic violence prevention program, will be returning to Oak Bluffs this fall after going on hiatus last year.
Festival organizers got permission from town select board on Tuesday to host the event at Alley Waban Park on Oct. 11 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The music festival, which highlights women artists and benefits CONNECT to End Violence, began in 2017. Last year, organizers Kelly Feirtag and Rosie Guerin decided not to host the festival to take time to revamp the event.
In past years, the festival took place on Circuit avenue. This October, LadyFest will be moving a few blocks over to Alley Waban Park.
“We have outgrown Circuit,” Ms. Feirtag said at the select board meeting. “As always, we’ll throw as much money as we possibly can to CONNECT to End Violence.”
