A jazz super-group is headed to PathwaysArts on Friday night. The off-season arts venue in Chilmark, which plays host to readings, gallery exhibits, music and more, is gathering musical talent from all over the Island for a night dedicated to jazz.

Some performers, such as Jeremy Berlin (piano) and Eric Johnson (guitar) are known on the jazz circuit, having performed as duo for years at Offshore Ale in Oak Bluffs. More recently Tauras Biskis has joined them to create a trio, with Mr. Biskis on drums and Mr. Johnson on standup bass as well as guitar.

But because Mr. Berlin is a serial collaborator, he has been able to pull together numerous other performers one does not immediately associate with jazz, including his bandmates Johnny Hoy and Delanie Pickering from Johnny Hoy and the Bluefish.

Rose Guerin will perform, too, on Friday, as will Darby Patterson, Peter Halperin, Allison Roberts and Lucas Ostinato.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with performances beginning at 7 p.m.

PathwaysArts is located at 9 State Road in Chilmark.
