Eugene A. Park

Word reached the Gazette this week of the death of Gene Park, 86, of San Pedro, Calif.

Mr. Park was a spring and fall visitor to East Chop, staying in the 1918 cottage built by Melville B. Fuller, the grandfather of his wife, the former Dottie Hoffman. Mr. Park loved the Vineyard, especially the water. He enjoyed sailing, and he went swimming rain or shine.

In addition to Dottie, his wife of 56 years, he is survived by two sons, Peter and his wife, Bonnie, and James, and four grandchildren.
