Dorothy E. Davis, 86, Was Summer Visitor

Dorothy E. (Lindvall) Davis, 86, of Middle Haddam, Conn., wife of the late Frank W. Davis died Monday Nov. 22 at Middlesex Hospital.

She was born in Forestville, Conn., the daughter of the late John and Nellie (Olsen) Lindvall. Mrs. Davis lived in Middle Haddam, summered on the Vineyard and wintered in Florida. She was a graduate of Bristol High School and the New Britain Teachers College. Both she and her husband owned and operated the Frank Davis Resort in Moodus for many years. Mrs. Davis was also a member and past president of the Altrussa Club, the East Haddam Historical Society, the First Church of Christ and the East Haddam Garden Club.

She is survived by her brother, Robert Lindvall of Farmington, Conn.; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a stepson, Donald Davis; and a sister, Doris Johnson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 27 at 11 a.m. at the Biega Funeral Home in Middletown, Conn. Interment will be in the First Church Cemetery, Moodus.
