Estelle Suprenant of 41 Nashawena Park, Oak Bluffs, is pleased to announce the marriage of her daughter, René Hartford Surprenant, to James J. Nolan of 37 Nashawena Park, Oak Bluffs, and formerly Jamaica Plain.
René and Jim were married in The Villages, Fla., on June 27, at the home of Keith and Jeffrey Polmanteer.
Attendants were Jeffrey Polmanteer and Helen Pope, the aunt of James. René’s children, Emily, Liz and Jake, welcome Jim into their family. René and Jim live in Middleborough and Oak Bluffs.
Abigail Burnett Campbell and Brewer Bastien Rowe were married at Channing Memorial Church in Newport, R.I., on Jan. 5. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Rosecliff, a historic home owned by the Preservation Society of Newport County.
The bride is the daughter of Michael E. Campbell and the late Barbara B. Campbell of Stamford, Conn., and Newport, R.I. She is the granddaughter of Richard Burnett of Oneonta, N.Y. Abby, as she is known, graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall and Colby College and is pursuing a degree in nursing.
On June 23, 2007, McClain Livingston Howarth became the bride of Bridger Edmund McGaw. The Rev. Robert D. Edmunds officiated the marriage ceremony at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Edgartown, where the bride was baptized and confirmed. A reception followed at the Chappaquiddick Beach Club.
Dr. Catherine Lenkoski of Hermosa Beach, Calif., and Martin Vojtus of Huntington Beach, Calif., were married Dec. 15 at Johnson Chapel, Amherst College, Amherst. The Rev. Richard Gross officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Peter and Maryann Lenkoski of Wethersfield, Conn., and West Tisbury. The bridegroom is the son of Ladislav Vojtus and Alzbeta Vojtusova of Harichovce, Slovakia.
Lori LaMay of Rocky Hill, Conn., was matron of honor. Brent Borovan of Bedford, Nova Scotia, was best man.
Rhoda and David Schwab of Vineyard Haven announce the engagement of their daughter, Heidi, to Asa Vought. Asa is the son of Duane and Donna Vought of Edgartown, and Susan Austin of West Tisbury. An April wedding is planned.
Jim and Ann Litwinowich of Holden announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie Litwinowich, to Stephen Meinelt, son of Terry and Kathy Meinelt of Topsfield.
Ms. Litwinowich is a 1999 graduate of Wachusett Regional High School. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degree in English from the University of New Hampshire. She is attending Suffolk University Law School and is working as a summer associate at a law firm in Boston.
Kimberly Penney and Michael Schneider were married last August at the Fort Mason Officers’ Club overlooking San Francisco Bay in California.
The bride is the daughter of Linda and the late Jonathan Penney of Novato, Calif. She received a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles, and is employed by Pax Engineering in San Rafael, Calif.
