Open-air music is happening all over Martha’s Vineyard, just about every night of the week and usually for free..

The Chamber Music Society opened its summer season last night at the Old Whaling Church with the Infinity Brass quintet.

The Mavericks arrive on the Vineyard this week to play at the Performing Arts Center. “There are 12 of us,” said lead singer Raul Malo. “Eight onstage, four to keep us together, and 30 pieces of luggage.”

The David Bromberg Quintet performed a set list that was a journey of 20th-century folk, blues and ballads at the Old Whaling Church on Monday night.

Keikilane and Leokani Lindsey, of the Hawaiian father-son group Mele’uhane, first visited Martha’s Vineyard in June of 2016.
