The angels were bowling on Tuesday morning and woke everyone with some greatly needed rain. I am not a thunderstorm fan but was smiling at the thought of the change of weather. Let’s hope we can have more mornings of rain to fill the ponds that need some water along with the plants and trees.
The wind has been blowing and isn’t that a March thing? So who knows what is next for us, but I know I am ready for a little heat just to help the plants along.
This is the time of year that people come to town and say, “gee when I left Oak Bluffs the sun was shining bright.” And of course it is foggy and damp here. But I always like to think that when August comes and the heat is high we are always just a little cooler than the rest of the Island.
We could not complain about most of the weekend weather except for Monday with the parade and traveling. But for the most part it was sunny and warm and people were smiling.
June is almost here and we are finally feeling the warm weather. I think you all know I like it cool but I too am ready for some warmer weather. I keep threatening to bring out the summer wear but it is like putting the snow shovel away; you don’t want to curse it.
May 15 was the last day of freeze threats, so the weather people say. But we are still feeling a little cold affect. Now the wind is still blowing but the weekend is promising high temperatures. One can only hope.
The sun is out, the trees are sprouting their leaves and the flowers are starting to grow. Now if the wind would cooperate it would be great.
I was listening to the weather this morning and they said after this weekend it would be warmer and sunny. I still have my doubts as we always go from 0 to 100 in a day so we will see.
While working the other day, we were talking about how the weather was cool, then warm, then back to downright cold, and now it was back to flip flops and T-shirts while watering the plants that were dry from all this activity.
