Well, I think we have summer. We have had two days of sunshine and heat. I know the rain is coming, but we can’t complain. I believe we need the rain for our plants and trees.
We got to see our summer friends for the weekend as they came to open houses and visit with friends. But there were also many new visitors. The triangle was backed up and the bike riders were out.
Once again Mother Nature has teased us with spring. She gave us great weather over Mother’s Day weekend and on Monday. Everyone was walking around with shorts and tank tops.
The pear trees and apple trees are in full bloom and all of a sudden everything is green. I think that is worth a smile.
If you remember, last year we fought to shut off the heat in April. When we could shut the heat off, we had to turn on the air conditioner and it stayed on most of the summer.
Spring is really trying to get here. We have had some very warm days, then the next day will be freezing cold.
I am listening to the rain as I sit here. I had looked at the radar photo on my phone and saw a wall of green coming at us. I wonder what the morning is going to bring.
The flowers are arriving fast and the colors are starting to make it really seem like spring. Pansies are probably the best come-out-of-the-winter-blahs flower.
This week we had it all: sun, snow and sleet. I hear that there are a few bets on how long it will take the pile of snow at the post office to melt.
