Forging a new future for the Tisbury School building was the subject of a working session Monday night with school and town leaders at the table.

Inadequate conditions at the town school were on full display during a tour this week attended by a large group of town officials.

With the failed plan for a new school behind them, selectmen and school committee members took tentative steps to start over.

The selectmen and school committee will meet Tuesday to discuss how to start over with the school building project.

The chairman of the Tisbury selectmen signed a letter to the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) on Tuesday formally withdrawing from the process.
