Honored repeatedly over its long history, the Vineyard Gazette has received 89 journalism awards in the last three years alone from the New England Newspaper and Press Association.
The New England Better Newspaper Competition receives about 3,200 nominations each year in categories that span news reporting, commentary, photography, design, promotions and advertising. The distinguished panel of judges includes present and past editors, reporters and journalism educators.
For two years in a row, the Gazette has won first place in its category for best overall website and best website design, among other prizes.
