We are longtime Chilmark visitors and Gazette subscribers. We have read with concern your reports of the debates about the renovation of Squibnocket beach.
We were, therefore, very pleased when we visited this August. The renovation is an enormous success. The beach is esthetically more attractive, parking better and access to the beach proper much easier, particularly for the disabled.

What a delight to discover the care that went into the stunning transformation of the Squibnocket Beach area! Kudos to whoever sited the causeway, chose the materials for the parking section and placed each rock with natural artistry!
