Two abutting Katama properties sold for a combined $43 million this week, marking one of the highest residential real estate sales in Vineyard history.

On Monday, 61 Butlers Cove Road and 57 Butlers Cove Road, two abutting waterfront properties in Herring Creek Farm on Slough Cove, sold for $27 million and $16 million, respectively. The 57 Butlers Cove Road property also includes properties at 15 and 16 Forever Wild Way. All four parcels total more than 30 acres.

The largest parcel at 61 Butlers Cove Road includes two homes, totaling nine bedrooms and over 7,000 square feet. The real estate listing names a workout barn, private walking trails and an outdoor sauna among the amenities.

Together, the properties feature more than 2,000 feet of water frontage on Edgartown Great Pond and the Atlantic Ocean.

“This unique assemblage affords the development of an expansive private family compound in one of Martha’s Vineyard’s most coveted waterfront locations,” the listing for 57 Butlers Cove Road reads.

The properties were owned by Beach Farm LLC, a limited liability company associated with Boston tech entrepreneur Michael Bronner, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The new owners are a pair of realty trusts, and the land deeds list Edgartown attorneys Karen Burke and Cynthia Wansiewicz as trustees. Ms. Burke and Ms. Wansiewicz did not immediately respond to requests for comment by phone Thursday.

Brian Dougherty, the listing agent attached to both sales, declined to comment Thursday. Selling agent Mark Jenkins also declined to comment.

The joint property was listed at $49 million initially and secured a purchase and sale at the beginning of August.

Real estate records have been threatened in recent years as prices continue to rise. A Katama Bay mansion sold last year for $37.5 million, and Blue Heron Farm, the former vacation home for the Obama family sold for $37 million.

The record property for the Island remains the 215-acre Herring Creek Farm sale, which went for $64 million in 2001.
