The Martha’s Vineyard Film Society will screen its annual Environmental Film Festival from May 21 to 24. It is presented in collaboration with Vineyard Conservation Society.

This year’s program takes viewers from the Hudson River to the French Pyreness, to the ghost elephants of Angola and the rainforests of the Amazon.

The films follow an ancient shepherd, a cantankerous river keeper, manta rays off the coast of San Benedicto Island, and much more.

There will also be discussions with filmmakers, scientists, activists and artist.

Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School students will be represented through the annual Art of Conservation awards, hosted by Vineyard Conservation Society.

  1. I urge everyone who can to see at least one of the films in this important annual festival! Thanks to the Vineyard Conservation Society for helping to bring this festival to the island.
