The Martha’s Vineyard regional high school boys tennis team lost to Weston High School in the Division 3 state semifinals match on Wednesday afternoon.
The Vineyard finished its regular season with a 15-1 record and was seeded second in the tournament, but ran into a tough Weston team, the same school that defeated the Vineyarders last year in the semifinals.
Weston swept the Vineyard 5-0.
Zak Potter lost 3-6, 1-6 at first singles, Caleb Dubin fell 1-6, 3-6 at second signles, and Kert Kleeman was defeated 6-7, 4-6 at third singles. In doubles play, Tommy Flynn and Kyle Levy lost 3-6, 2-6 at first doubles, and Nate Walsh and Henry Wansiewicz lost 6-2, 0-6, 4-6.
