We have no adoptions to report this week, but we do have an exceptional Pet of the Week. Her name is Zoey, a 10-year-old calico cat who is a very friendly. This girl is indoor/outdoor, up-to-date and ready to go. Come meet her and see if you can resist her charms.
Also available is Cassius, a 19-year-old male, tabby and white cat. Cassius is another super friendly cat, he just wants to be with you, a true Velcro cat. His only downside is that he is a talker but mostly when you leave him. And due to his age, his adoption fee will be waived. Come by and see if he steals your heart like he’s stolen all of ours.
Mark your calendars, the rabies clinic is coming up next month. The date is April 4 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the West Tisbury safety building. The fee is $25 per pet, dogs must be leashed and cats in carriers. And remember to bring a copy of your previous rabies vaccination certificate.
We are sorry to inform you that we will be taking a hiatus from the nail clinic for a while. However, the Council on Aging in Oak Buffs hosts a nail clinic twice a month by appointment only. Call 508-693-4509 and ask for Debbie Whitney.
We are also looking for jewelry donations for our next annual garden party. We will accept any type of jewelry in any condition. Donations should be dropped off at the shelter during business hours.
The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. Also, if anyone is in need of cat food, dog food, or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours: 508-627-8662.
