I love this. So Mal! Wonderful, Paul.
Thanks, Julia!
Good one Paul!
Nor do they make men like Mal anymore
Thanks, brother.
My point exactly!
When I lived in Maine in the early 80’s I had a land rover– we took the doors and the roof off for safety — pretty easy to do — then went on the frozen lakes , got up to 60 mph , turned the wheel , hit the brakes, and spun in circles. Great fun…
That winter was so lovely and cold. I lived much of that time in a tepee on Tiah’s Cove. You could skate all the way out to Quansoo. A 1920’s wooden gaff-rigged Herreshoff iceboat with outriggers appeared from the Spalding’s barn and we reveled in many glorious sails up and down the Pond. And Mal was there as he always was at (or creating) any glorious event. The oysters were plentiful and life was good. Thank you Paul.
