The birds of the winged trees flying my name Above the farms and the white horses I rose in rainy autumn And walked abroad in a shower of all my days. – Dylan Thomas
While you were napping May rolled into town, quietly and without fanfare, which is par for the course. May needs no loud introduction, no trumpets blowing or orators declaring.
May is no maybe, rather it is a month to depend on, of blooms coming into their own and shops opening their doors after the long slumber of winter.
What's not to like, even on the occasional gray and rainy day. After all, it's May, so the weather will turn, the water will warm, and the heart will beat a little faster. Such is the way with May.
