From sea to land, by bicycle and by foot, athletes fanned out around Martha's Vineyard Sunday for the annual Vineyard Triathlon. Nearly 50 people finished the half triathlon, which started with a 1.2-mile swim in Nantucket Sound, followed by a 56-mile bicycle ride and a 13-mile foot race. More than 140 people completed the shorter spring triathlon, which featured a .33-mile swim, 13 mile bicycle course, and 3.2-mile run.
