Nearly two feet of snow buried homes and vehicles across Martha’s Vineyard early this week. Fierce winds snapped trees and downed power lines, leaving nearly half the Island without electricity at the height of the storm. Crews have restored power to most customers, but the blizzard of 2026 will be remembered as one of the most disruptive – and record-setting – storms in recent memory.
