Janice Lee Aubut died in Dartmouth on Sept. 23. She was 87.
Janice’s many passions included Salty the dog, Martha’s Vineyard, cooking, scrabble and Sunday crossword puzzles. She was gracious and inviting to all who came to “The Front Porch” on Martha’s Vineyard. She loved sharing time with friends and neighbors.
Janice was predeceased by her devoted husband Roland. Her family included her sister Barbara Ogaard (husband Kaare) and deceased brothers Chester Mackay (wife Ann) and Douglas Mackay (deceased wife Chris).
She is survived by children Gayna Alves, Norry Alves Jr.; stepchildren Derek Aubut and Kim Gonsalves along with grandchildren Jessica, Chad, Alessandra, Alyssa, Kendyl, Gabrielle, Hayleigh and Cailin.
She was predeceased by daughter Kim Meisel and first husband Norry Alves Sr.
Janice will be missed by all. To all who knew her, loved her and made her life full of joy and happiness, thank you.
