The farmers’ market in West Tisbury has begun its Wednesday offerings from 9 a.m. to noon. I am sending a friend to get me a jar of rhubarb ginger jam made by the talented Linda Alley for her New Lane Sundries. Many foods and gifts are available. Pirogies, anyone?

On your way home from the farmers’ market say hello to my friends at Tending Joy, located in the yellow building on State Road. Everything is exquisite.

Kate Feiffer’s daughter Maddy has a great love of horses. She has now become a certified therapeutic riding instructor. Congratulations, Maddy.

Livingston Taylor will present a concert on July 5 at our Martha’s Vineyard Film Center. The show starts at 7:30 pm. Livingston has been making music for over 50 years.

Islanders Write returns on July 15 and July 16. Be at Featherstone to soak up this great experience. The project starts at 7:30 p.m. on the first night. It continues the next day, all day.

Harry Seymour, artist, poet and writer has returned to the Mariposa Museum at 57 Circuit avenue for the 2026 season. Harry has brought his new creation, a children’s book.

The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard has their annual garden party and auction on Monday, June 29. The party is from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The live auction begins at 7 p.m. Mike and Lisa MaKenty are your hosts in Edgartown. The have on-site parking. Do our furry friends a favor.

Dan VanLandingham has a show of his fabulous paintings at the Granary Gallery. The show starts July 10. These are all new landscapes.

Meanwhile, Colin Ruel is now showing his paintings at the Waggaman Gallery. Colin’s theme is “The Light Is Returning.”
