There is a slight chance you might start to see Venus low in the southeastern sky before sunrise as it makes its way into our morning sky. With all likelihood if you can look tomorrow morning, you’ll see a thin sliver of a crescent moon nearby.

Even better, if visibility and your location is ideal, you might see the bright star Spica right next to Venus. If the weather doesn’t help, Venus is committed to being our morning planet for the months ahead.

Venus will get easier to see as it appears higher and higher in the southeastern sky before sunrise. Take a look. Thanksgiving week will be ideal, as the planet will be really high.

There is a small but welcome meteor shower, the Taurid meteor shower takes place this week. The meteors appear to radiate from the constellation Taurus, hence its name.

The constellation Taurus rises in the eastern sky after sunset. Go outside any time in the evening and position yourself looking east. You might see a meteor in any direction but its signature will be that it seems to originate from Taurus. The highlight of this shower is the increased frequency of really bright fireball meteors. Not guaranteed, but you might see one or two amid the usual. You may see as many as ten meteors in an hour of looking.
