The Martha’s Vineyard Community Foundation is accepting nominations for the 2026 Creative Living Award, which recognizes individuals or organizations whose creativity, ingenuity and dedication have enriched life on Martha’s Vineyard.

Established in 1983, the Creative Living Award celebrates Islanders who embody the spirit of Ruth J. Bogan — a woman remembered for her intelligence, courage, curiosity and deep love for the Vineyard community. Through this annual award, the Community Foundation seeks to recognize people whose leadership, artistic vision, innovation, generosity or community service help make Martha’s Vineyard a more vibrant and caring place to live.

The Community Foundation invites nominations for artists, volunteers, educators, nonprofit leaders, entrepreneurs, craftspeople, environmental advocates, mentors, innovators and others whose contributions have had a meaningful impact on the Vineyard community.

Nominations must be received by Friday, June 19, submitted online at marthasvineyardcf.org/creative-living-award or by mailing or emailing a letter describing the nominee’s contributions to Island life to: Martha’s Vineyard Community Foundation P.O. Box 243 West Tisbury, MA 02575

The award recipient(s) will be honored at a Community Foundation event later this year.
