Joan Kocian, a longtime resident of West Tisbury and Chilmark, died at age 89 on August 9 in Sarasota, Fla. She is survived by her sons Michael and Keith and daughter-in-law Lisa.
The Vineyard was Joan’s vision of heaven, and she will rest there forever at Abel’s Hill alongside Dick, her beloved husband of nearly 40 years.
