Nancy L. Bastien died on July 19, 2025 after a long illness. She was 73.
Nancy was in hospice care at Aaron Manor in Chester, Conn., the town where she also made her home.
She began visiting the Island in the 1970s and spent more than 20 summers in Vineyard Haven. It is where she was the happiest.
She was a 1974 graduate of Massachusetts College of Art, and was also a fellow at FAWC Provincetown where her work is in the permanent collection.
She leaves behind her many animals and her husband. She is greatly missed.
