Elizabeth and Charles Stutler, of Oak Bluffs, annouce the birth of a son, Charles Bruce Stutler III, born on August 6th at the Martha's Vineyard Hospital. Charles weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces at birth.

Viktoriya and Jeffrey Duarte, of Aquinnah, announce the birth of a son, Atlas Jeffrey Duarte, born on August 3rd at the Martha's Vineyard Hospital. Atlas weighed 8 pounds, 3.4 ounces at birth.

It is August and the nesting season is winding down.

What a relief on Tuesday morning to finally have a reprieve from the humidity.

August - there's something about this particular month that brings about an atmospheric unease.

Nothing says West Tisbury summer more than the Agricultural Fair, which opens Thursday, August 15 through Sunday, August 18.
