Only 15 hardy Islanders showed up at the Inkwell last Saturday morning at 8 a.m. for the second annual New Year's Day dip.

The Edgartown select board voted to appoint Rob Morrison as the new town shellfish constable Tuesday. Mr. Morrison has been deputy constable for the past 10 years and is a marine biologist and Edgartown native.
