I have had it with snow, cold and Februarys. Worst February of my life. I do not remember such a month as we just had on the Island. Hoping this won’t be a new trend.
Our regional high school’s boys hockey team did very well defeating Bourne on our home rink. Our team has earned a trip to the elite eight after their playoff. Way to go team!
And aren’t our Celtics doing great. Two more games this week. Tatum is predicted to play Friday night.
Get your act together. The Aquinnah Variety Show is returning. Auditions are Saturday, March 7 and Saturday, March 14, from 3 to 5 p.m. each day.
March 8 is International Women’s Day. I remember my second wave marching with Gloria Steinem, Bella Abzug, Germaine Greer and Betty Friedan. I still want to see the ERA passed before I slip this mortal coil.
Paul Karasik is on the road to California. Paul shall visit composer Ania Vu and writer Jonathan Lethem to discuss some collaborations he is working on with them. He will also make a stop to attend a retrospective of his friend John Sparagana’s work.
I want to note the passing of a multi-talented friend, Ted Box. I just could not mention it sooner because it grieves me so. Ted was a multi-talented artist, builder, sculptor and friend. I loved his writing as well. Rest in peace Ted Box.
The birthday bandwagon pulled along Al Stewart on Feb. 18; Leide Prata DePaula celebrated on March 2; and on March 3 Heather Devine took the cake. Many happy returns.
