James Buckley Chapman Beck moved to heaven from San Clemente, Calif on March 1 at the age of five following a seven-month courageous battle with brain cancer.
James was born on May 2, 2020 to Lauren Chapman and Loren Beck. James was a sweet, loving child who enjoyed outdoor playgrounds, drawing, running, Legos and watching Cars and Spidey and Friends at home with his friends and family.
James was the sixth generation of the Chapman family to their long-time summer home on East Chop. He was a joy to be around and forever will be missed.
James will always be remembered by his brother, Tanner, his sister, Mari, his parents, Lauren and Loren, his grandparents Michael and Clare Chapman, his aunts, Jennifer Berryman and Monica Stombaugh, his uncle Chris Chapman and his dog, Baxter.
James’s life was tragically cut short but the impression James left on the lives of others will never be forgotten. He faced pediatric cancer with a resilience and fortitude that inspired all who knew of his story. James took delight in making every doctor and nurse laugh when they came to his bedside.
