MV Bank Dedicates More than $600,000 to Nonprofits

Island nonprofits and community leaders gathered Thursday to celebrate the hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants and scholarships given out by the Martha’s Vineyard Bank Charitable Foundation.

Edgartown Man Pleads Guilty to Insurance Fraud

Gregory Pyden, 56, pleaded guilty Thursday to four counts of workers compensation fraud, and four counts of larceny. He was ordered to pay $37,488 restitution for his role in the scheme.
