Following a period of financial confusion, the Aquinnah selectmen this week accepted the resignations of the town accountant and treasurer. Kimberly Brown, who was hired last year, submitted her letter of resignation in March. Peter Graczykowski, the town treasurer and human resources director, announced a short time later that he would resign to take another job. Both were part-time positions.
The late colorful Oak Bluffs character Eben Davis Bodfish (1869-1944) was known as a successful real estate agent who made his offices in the Greene’s Block building (just before DaRosa’s) on Circuit avenue. A state police accident reconstruction team began its investigation this week into a single car accident that claimed the life of a West Tisbury woman Sunday. Brianna Combra, 24, was taken by ambulance to the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, and then flown by MedFlight to the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, according to police. She died Sunday evening from injuries sustained in the crash.
