Everett Whorton was many things.

Like it or not, Chappaquiddick is part of Edgartown. Town meeting and town elections are coming up. If you don’t think that your participation matters, witness the chaos emanating from Washington, D.C. which proceeds with the narrowest of margins.

Some of you may know the couple of young fellas from Chappy who graduated from engineering school and got jobs at Tesla in the design department.

Meanwhile, back here at the department of Life Goes On, where all of us work, it’s no longer business as usual.

The Trustees of Reservations will be hosting a Beach Clean-up this Saturday, March 15 from 10 a.m. to noon to pick up trash and debris on the Wasque and Cape Pogue beaches.

Lately I’m reminded daily of the saying about folks forgetting their history and having to live through it again. I Googled it.
