Edgartown has received a state grant for sustainable design at the new town library.
After a career that has spanned 40 years, 7 months and 12 days, Debby MacInnis is retiring as the children’s librarian at the Edgartown Library.
Deborah MacInnis has worked in libraries since she was in the eighth grade. And the biggest part of that work has been 40 years as children’s librarian in Edgartown.
There will be a formal ribbon-cutting at the new Edgartown Library from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 25.
Funds for an emergency generator were cut from the Edgartown library budget early in the building process, but now school and library officials say one is needed. Selectmen will explore the idea.
