The West Tisbury Farmers’ Market begins Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon, and continues through the summer and into the fall.

2015

The West Tisbury Farmers’ Market has been housed on the grounds of the Grange Hall since it began in 1974. But growing traffic concerns in town on Saturday mornings has led to discussions about moving the market to the Agricultural Hall.

2014

Among the mounds of lettuce heads, cartons of fresh fruit, herb displays and coolers of local meat, vendors at the West Tisbury Farmers’ Market are offering something new this summer: acceptance of government-issued food coupons.

The 40th annual market opened to blue skies and a steady crowd on Saturday at the Grange Hall. Friends inquired about each others’ winters, and farmers were eager to greet old and new customers alike.

2013

Despite strong gusts of wind, and ominous clouds looming overhead, the West Tisbury Farmers' Market opened its season Saturday morning to an increasingly robust crowd.

It was the first day of the market, which started 39 years ago. Eighty-eight-year-old Robert Daniels of Old Town Garden in Edgartown was one of the few vendors back then.
