The Martha's Vineyard Public Charter School graduation is Sunday, June 2 at 1:30 p.m. on school grounds at 424 State Road in West Tisbury.
The Charter School performs the Hobbit this weekend, with kindergartners though high schoolers embodying dwarves, elves, walking trees and the wizard Gandalf. Performances are at the Grange Hall on Friday and Saturday.
On Tuesday, Martha’s Vineyard Public Charter School sixth grader Volkert Kleeman woke up long before dawn to look for worms in his family’s compost pile.
Classes begin Tuesday at the Martha’s Vineyard Public Charter School, but new director Peter Steedman has been hard at work since July.
