This is the time of the year when it is colder inside than it is out. And if you are anything like us, you’ll be determined not to turn the heat on until Nov. 1. But you dress in the morning for the cold, then walk outside and start taking things off. Welcome to fall.
Tonight’s full moon rises in the east at the same time as the sun sets. The moon is in the zodiacal constellation Aries, one of the smallest constellations in the sky.

From the moment the earthquake occurred in Haiti in January, PeaceQuilts has working to bring relief aid to its quilters and their families, and materials and resources to renew their work. I
Now Macy’s has begun to sell the home goods products designed by the group’s master quilters and made by the women of PeaceQuilts. A successful launch of this line will mean more work for the women of PeaceQuilts.
The logical architecture of the molecular structure known as DNA was elucidated in 1953 by Nobel Prize winners James Watson and Francis Crick. Apparently, upon realizing what they had discovered, the two headed right for the pub at 10 in the morning, telling the barkeep, “We have discovered the secret of life.”
But it took more than two decades of patient, frustrating, difficult work in underfunded and poorly equipped laboratories around the world before DNA began to reveal its secrets.
