Chicken Alley is placing its holiday haul front and center for its first annual Thriftmas Holiday Shop.

Last spring a Chicken Alley Thrift Shop volunteer found an important work by Nigerian artist Ben Enwonwu among a large pile of donations. Last week the painting sold for $10,000 at a Sotheby's auction.

With less than two weeks to spare in the 2021-2022 fiscal year, Chicken Alley Thrift Shop surpassed one million dollars in sales for the first time.

During the pandemic Chicken Alley Thrift Shop is serving as a vital force in the community, offering used clothing and household items and raising money for Martha's Vineyard Community Services

The annual Chicken Alley Art and Collectibles Sale is taking place online from August 12 through the end of the month.

Chicken Alley Thrift Shop in Vineyard Haven reopens June 23. Donations will be by appointment only.

In a little over two years, Jennifer Coor has created more than 500 reusable bags for the Chicken Alley Thrift Shop. The bags are used to carry purchases, a creative and recyclable alternative to plastic bags.

As always, the annual Chicken Alley Thrift Shop Art and Collectibles sale attracted a savvy crowd .

The queue began forming at 6:30 a.m. Sunday for the annual Chicken Alley Thrift Shop Art and Collectibles Sale. By most accounts, the sale this year did not disappoint.

The Chicken Alley Thrift Shop will be closed Friday, Jan. 23 to Saturday, Feb. 7 for building maintenance. Leading up to the closing date, the shop will not be accepting donations and all items are being drastically discounted.

On the evening of Feb. 7 there will be a re-opening party free to the community to display the fresh space. Live music, DJ’s, and dancing the Chicken Alley strut.
