Erica and Douglas Machado, of Vineyard Haven, announce the birth of a son, Aurora Sousa Machado, born on July 10 at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital.

I have lived 79 years and if I didn’t wake up tomorrow no one would say I died young.

We’re thrilled with this week’s pets of the week. We have two nine-week-old, female kittens. The calico is the shyer of the two, but she is coming around. And her sister is cream color with blue eyes. If interested come by soon, these two won’t last.
