Hands Across the World

On May 31, the Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center hosted a fundraiser for the earthquake victims in Nepal. It was a wonderful success, selling out two days before the event. We raised almost $3,000 that will be donated to the American Jewish World Service, who have partners on the ground in Nepal, helping the most disenfranchised of the Nepalese community.

I would like to thank Rabbi Caryn Broitman, the Hebrew Center and all the volunteers for hosting this event and underwriting it, so that every dollar we raised can go directly to the people who are in need.

Honoring Lois Mailou Jones, an Artist and a Trailblazer

Nearly 17 years after she died, Ms. Jones is once again on display in the Vineyard.
